Protecting the environment during the execution of environmental remediation projects continues to be an important function of both private industry and regulatory agencies.  EMI combines organizational management skills with expertise in environmental issues and regulations to help clients manage environmental projects through the maze of regulatory requirements.

EMI offers a full range of high-value “start-to-finish” health and safety, pre-construction and construction management services for environmental remediation and restoration projects. We provide up-front project scoping and bid document preparation, permitting and compliance, scheduling, field management, health and safety development/training/auditing, and post-project services. As a full service Project Management company we can provide complete services or singular services tailored to a client’s needs.

Scoping & Bidding

EMI assists clients with project scoping and preparing bid documents for simple to complex environmental projects for the purposes of soliciting bids from suppliers. EMI has extensive experience in managing time and materials, lump sum or unit rate projects, as well as soliciting contractors and negotiating contracts.

Permitting & Compliance

EMI has extensive experience and solid relationships with the regulatory community to assist clients with preparation and submittal of permit applications, interpreting permit conditions and preparing permit compliance programs for any size project.

Scheduling

EMI assists our clients with preparing and maintaining resource loaded schedules, and understanding project milestones. Our experience allows us to foresee potential budget overruns and project delays before they happen, enabling corrective actions to be taken and re-aligning the project to successful completion.

Field Management Services

EMI develops project implementation programs that integrates subcontractors into the project team, ensuring a safe workplace for all project participants, providing clear identification and understanding of subcontractor responsibilities and opens lines of communication.

Health and Safety

EMI offers clients on-site health and safety services for small to large complex projects.  EMI develops and implements site-specific health and safety plans as well as provides health and safety training to aid clients in compliance with local, state and federal requirements during the execution of projects.

Post-Project Services

A project is not complete when the yellow iron leaves the site. There are often many aspects after a project is complete that require follow-through and close-out. On behalf of our clients, EMI coordinates these post-project close-out requirements with the regulatory agencies, suppliers, and utility companies.
